For most people, the choice of the best massage chairs comes down to the Luraco Irobotics 7 or the Human Touch NOVO XT. In my book, the top honors belong only to one chair, the Luraco Massage Chair, and, in this Luraco I7 review, I am going to explain why.
History of the I7 Zero Gravity Massage Chair
The Luraco I7 massage chairs have been around for four and a half years now. This proves that they are more than just a flash in the pan.
The Luraco Technologies Irobotics 7 chair has become the most popular of all the Luraco Massage Chairs.
The firm, based in Dallas, started off focusing on this kind of chair for use in beauty salons.
The feedback was so good, with many users reporting on the efficacy of the shoulder massage, that the company decided to branch out into personal use models.

Is it Well-Built?
Part of the reason that the Luraco I7 chair has become so popular is that it has been built so well. The closest price match would be for the Inada Sogno Dreamwave massage chair brand (Inada Dreamwave).
Both can be classified as good quality medical massage chairs, boasting different levels of intensity.
What puts the I7 robotic massager a step ahead, however, is how it is made.
The main parts are made in the United States (as pointer out by Dr. Alan Weidner)
Some non-critical parts are drawn in from Taiwan, but everything is researched, developed, and assembled in the U.S.A.
Electronic Hardware made in the U.S.A, Software made in the U.S.A, Final Assembly in USA
So, you don’t have to worry about subpar Chinese quality.
The same cannot be said for the Dreamwave, unfortunately, and any other chair brands such as Johnson Wellness.
The chair is UL listed and FDA approved and the only chair on the market to be approved safety of use.
Most Prominent Features
This is a good-looking chair. It is not your dad’s old Lazy Boy, that’s for sure. It looks a lot more stylish and will turn a good few heads. Care has been taken to create a high-class look and stitching.
You can choose it in cream, chocolate brown or black.
The covering on the chair is a balance between synthetic and genuine leather. The areas that you are going to feel, like the armrests, have real leather (Arms, Head, Shoulders, and Feet)
The surface is easy to wipe and so easy to keep ultra clean.
Can Fit Almost any Height and Weight / Who Can Use it?
The user height does make a difference, especially in the case of the very tall.
Height recommendation: this l-track massage chair will fit anyone up to six foot seven. The maximum weight load is 300 pounds. It can fit pretty much anybody shape and size.
Controlling the Chair
The chair does come with its own remote control. It is fairly simple to learn and resembles a smartphone in that it is a touchscreen.
I would recommend flipping through the user manual just so that you know what your chair is capable of.
9 Different Programs
The main reason that this is one of the best chairs on the market now, if not the best chair in the industry, is that it has a total of 9 different programs, each accessible from the touchscreen remote.
It’s like using an app on your phone. Just make contact with the touch surfaces above the settings you want to use, and you are done.
Choose a Shiatsu massage, a stretch program (body stretching), or some of the lighter massage techniques.
If you are not a fan of all that automation, you can set the foot massager or calf massagers up instead of the arms shoulders massagers. Set your own programs using the memory setting. The only chair with up to five personal users' memory settings so that all your family and friends can enjoy personalized massage.
One thing that does really set this machine’s massage technology apart from most of what is available out there now is that it has foot rollers that are comfortable. You can fully adjust how hard the foot massage rollers work as well.
Body Scan Technology
The system will automatically do a complete body scan when you sit down and switch it on.
This can be a little annoying because it takes a couple of minutes. If you set the program straight away, though it will skip the scan.
The scan is done to make sure that the rollers are properly aligned to the shape of your body and is pretty accurate.
The advantage of this kind of tech is that the machine molds itself to you.
If someone else wants to use the chair, no problem, it will adjust.
If you would rather use the voice control settings, you can enable them.
The advantage is that you tell the chair what to do and it lets you know what program you are doing and whereabouts you are in the program.
To be honest, this is a feature that you will probably only use once or twice. Once you fully understand how the chair works, it becomes more of a pain than useful.
Your Music System
The machine has a built-in MP3 player. All you need to do is to put music on your SD card and listen to it through the built-in speakers.
IT comes in 3 color options that will fit almost any design. Three Neutral colors of Cream, Brown, and Black are available.
Blood Pressure and Heart Rate Monitor
You have access to the HR monitor and the blood pressure monitor if you are in the chair. It does mean strapping yourself into a cuff and plugging that in, but it is useful nevertheless.
The Overall Health Benefit
There is more to the massage experience than a 3D massage or a simple neck and shoulder massage. This chair will offer you what comes close to a full-body massage. The benefits extend beyond being able to lie back in the zero gravity position as well. Many people pointed out that the chair provides the best combination of deep tissue massage and relaxation massage.
The primary benefit of massage is that it has such a relaxing effect. Check your HR before and after a session, and you will see how it drops. It has a lot of built-in health monitoring features, including a heart rate monitor.
The machine has integrated health monitoring features to measure blood pressure and HR so you can see if it is normal or not. It will work on keeping your full body heat up when it is cold. The body scan facility makes sure that the chair is the perfect fit.
You can improve the overall enjoyment of your massage experience by switching on the heating element. Here too there are five different settings to choose from. There are a few heating elements in the footrest, on the back area, and within the seat that applies heat for a superior muscle relaxations experience.
Frequent Asked Questions
What Makes This Chair Different?
Do you know how you go into a store and buy a TV?
It works great for a while and suddenly stops working. If you check with the manufacturer, the TV had been sitting on the floor for a year or two already. Not good for you.
That is why your chair will not be assembled or tested until you have placed your order. You get everything in pristine condition. You can opt for white glove delivery if you want help setting it up.
That said, white glove delivery is not really essential here – setting it up is easy. The most challenging part is interpreting how health monitors and zero gravity settings work.
So, How Well Does it Work?
It is pretty quiet
You would expect the chair to start making a lot of noise considering all the moving parts, but you would be wrong.
The company has spent a lot on providing the best patent-pending noise reduction technology so that you can experience pain relief without getting a headache.
Every airbag and there are more than a hundred of those, delivers quiet and firm pressure as it is meant to.
The ones on that shoulder are great when it comes to body stretching – they hold your arms in place nicely. But beyond that, they are not as good as I had hoped. So, if I had to find fault with this machine, it would be in the shoulder and neck area.
Perhaps it requires a bit more trial and error to really start getting this right. So, do see for yourself.
When it comes to calf massage, this machine really shines. The legs are first stretched by being gripped by the airbags and pulled.
The air cell along the arms works in much the same way, except that it works in sequence, working first on the forearm and then on the wrist and then the hand.
The significant advantage of this chair is that you can choose the auto programs or you can choose your favorites from the user memory settings.
What are the Luraco's Massage Rollers Like?
The 3D massage rollers work slowly up and down your spine. It is very similar in manner to Shiatsu massagers.
The doubled rollers make it possible to enjoy varying levels of intensity.
You can set your l-track massage chair to give you a basic rubdown or choose one of the more intense massage modes.
You can set the rollers in five separate settings. You can also switch up the intensity (intensity adjustment) when it comes to your neck massage and shoulder massage. You can choose different settings for different zones in the body.
The roller technology track runs all the way from the upper head down to the coccyx. This l-track massage route means that you can massage your entire spine.
Advanced 3D robotic and L-Track system with the latest control technology provides superior shoulder, lower back, neck massage.
The airbags also have five separate settings, so that you can get the exact amount of compression that you like (air massage).
Can I Sit in it All Day?
The short answer is, "Yes." The machine is comfortable enough to take the place of a regular chair. One of the product features, though, is that the massage will last half an hour by default. You can change that down to a few minutes if you like, but you cannot increase it.
You might decide to start a different program to outwit the chair – don't bother, starting a new program does not affect the count-down.
Would it be nice to be able to have an hour-long massage? Sure, but this is something of a built-in safety measure. The machine cannot operate 24/7 without overtaxing itself. Setting limits like this means that you get all the best features and that the chair lasts well.
What Manufacturer’s Warranty Is In Place?
When for home use, the Luraco's i7 standard labor warranty and will pay for parts and labor if something goes wrong in the first three years. For the next two years, a limited warranty covering just parts is put in place.
They do also offer an extended warranty for home users for another two years.
