Do you want a good neck massager but want to save some money?
You’re not alone. Most people aren’t willing to invest a lot into a new massager.
Sometimes we choose not to buy a massager at all, which affects our health due to ti the pain that goes untreated.
Other times, they buy several low-quality massagers, which end up costing more in the long term. What I like about the Naipo Neck massager is that it’s a quality, affordable product that costs less than a pub dinner. This device is functional, you can use it for whole-body massages, and it has soothing heat therapy.
I tested this unit, and read and reviewed all the complaints, so I was convinced that Naipo isn’t a best neck massager.
But is it worth it? Are there better options?

Features and Programs
8 Deep-Kneading Shiatsu Nodes. This kneading massager got 8 massage nodes that will target various points on your neck, shoulders, and back, or wherever you decide to use this unit.
Shiatsu nodes feel very life-like, and they can offer a deep-tissue massage that alleviates stress and relieves pain.
Adjustable Intensity
You can adjust the massage speed on three levels: low, medium, and high.
Although you can’t adjust the massage intensity, meaning how much the nodes press into your neck, you can select three different speeds for strength training.
The lowest speed is good for relaxation, the medium speed can relieve sore muscles and improve blood circulation, while the highest speed is the best choice for chronic pain.
3D Rotation
The 3D rotation of the eight massage nodes feels life-like too. After all, it’s just how a certified therapist would move their hands.
You can also adjust the rotation direction to target a painful knot more effectively.
That way, your muscles are massaged from different directions, dispersing any pressure or tightness.
Heat Option
You can turn the heat on or off, but if you choose to turn it on, you will benefit from a thorough massage with therapeutic benefits.
The warmth penetrates your skin and dilates your blood vessels, so it reduces swelling and improves your blood circulation.
Heat therapy has a beneficial effect on your muscles because it unwinds them faster, so the nodes can do their job better.
Heat therapy is also relaxing, which translates into better sleep and reduced stress.
Some features just lukewarm heat, which is good for relaxation but has few therapeutic benefits, but the product’s temperature can reach 113F.
Safe
If the heat temperature worries you, Naipo has two features that will put your mind at ease:
- The 20-minute auto shut-off feature prevents overheating and protects both you and the massager. If you happen to fall asleep with Naipo around your neck or back, the device will turn off, and nothing bad will happen.
- The included dustproof cloth isn’t just for keeping the massager clean. You can drape it over the massage nodes to reduce the heat intensity, as well as the massage intensity.
Some negative reviews address the intensely penetrating Shiatsu nodes, which feel uncomfortable to people who aren’t used to deep-tissue massages.
Covering these nodes with a dustproof cloth or with another soft material you have around the house reduces the massage intensity and increases the relaxation factor.
Ergonomic Design
Naipo’s U-shaped design is ergonomic and comfortable for most people. The downside is that you need some strength and flexibility to get your hands through the sleeves and hold the machine in place.
However, if you can pull a sweater on your head without wincing, you won’t find the Naipo too difficult to use.
This design has another benefit: you can pull on the arm loops to increase the massage intensity if you’re a glutton for punishment, or easily shift the unit around to focus on a painful knot.
Versatile
The Naipo Neck is easy to use all over your body. The 3D rotating Shiatsu nodes can do wonders on your back, shoulders, neck, thighs, foot, or arms.
If you want a simultaneous neck and back massage, I also like the MGM-C11C model, a massage seat pillow you can place on a regular chair or in the backseat of your car.
It’s cordless, affordable, and functional, with features like heating function, shiatsu, deep kneading shiatsu massage for personal care, and rolling massage, plus seat vibration.
As it isn’t very heavy or big, you can take it with you to your office, or use it in your car. The package includes both a UL-approved adapter and a car adapter, though I wouldn’t recommend using this device while driving.
Intuitive Control Panel
The control panel includes four buttons with intuitive pictograms for power, direction, heat, and speed.
The only problem with these buttons is that they’re placed too high up, which makes them somewhat difficult to reach.
You need to take one hand completely out of the sleeve, or else stretch it quite a bit to press the buttons.
This problem disappears when you’re using the Naipo Shiatsu on other body parts, like your thighs or lower back.
Good Materials
The Naipo is manufactured from quality, resistant materials. The PU leather is eco-friendly, durable, and easy to clean, not to mention stylish.
The mesh that covers the rotating shiatsu nodes is breathable and doesn’t scratch your skin, plus it doesn’t burn your skin when you turn the heat on.
Silent
You want every shoulder massager to be silent; otherwise, the relaxation factor is lost. Naipo features good reviews, although you will hear some slight humming from the massage nodes’ vibrations.

Naipo Massage Pillow with Heat, Shiatsu Deep Kneading Review & Massage Experience
When I first tried this massage pillow, my first thought was: “That’s the spot!”
I have a desk job. I sit around my computer for hours without moving, and I often get back shoulder and neck pain. Even my thighs get numb sometimes.
Some people prefer to take breaks and enjoy their massager.
A U-shaped device like the Naipo neck and back massager is good for the job, especially as it’s versatile and features eight deep-kneading Shiatsu nodes.
On the other hand, I prefer to be proactive. I like massages while I’m working, and I like that I can easily fix this massage pillow on the back of my chair and still have my hands free.
I like the pillow because:
- It’s affordable.
- It has four deep kneading massage nodes for a relaxing massage
- I can use it for full-body massages.
- It has heat therapy with a maximum temperature of 112F.
- It has a W design which fits comfortably around my neck, arms, and feet.
Trumedic Vs Naipo Neck Massager
IS-3000 PRO InstaShiatsu+ with Heat from Trumedic is four times as expensive as the massager.
Is that a good thing or not?
Similarities:
- The same U-shaped design
- Heat therapy
- Four buttons for power, speed, heat, and reverse direction situated high on the sleeve
- 20-minute timer
- Three speeds
- Versatile
Differences:
- TruMedic is cordless, which is more convenient. This device is powered by a lasting rechargeable Li-Ion battery.
- TrueMedic is more resistant. It might stop working if you apply too much pressure on the moving parts. The troubleshooting is easy, though: wait a few minutes and plug it back in. If the device still doesn’t work, you can use your warranty as Naipo’s customer service are very friendly.
- TruMedic boasts more safety, eco-friendly, and quality certifications, such as Certification and Engineering Bureau of Industry Canada; FCC Declaration of Conformity certification; SGS GMP Non-Foods Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP); Bureau Veritas Certification; UL manufacturing; ETL Listed Mark
Does Naipo Massager Work For Neck /Shoulder Pain?
Yes, It works well for shoulder and neck pain because:
- The Shiatsu nodes provide a deep-tissue massage for intense pain relief.
- Heat therapy unwinds sore muscles and improves circulation.
- You can shift the device around to focus on various painful knots and areas.
- You can adjust the nodes’ direction for a thorough massage that targets your muscles from all sides.
Don’t press too hard down on this massager, though, or you might get bruises on your neck.
Do Tens Neck Massagers Work?
No, in my opinion, it is a complete waste of money. I don't suggest using them, and I don't think that they are worth their price tag. Yes, you can use them to relax, but they cannot provide deep tissue massage that can really provide the same benefits. The first advantage is that Tens neck massagers are much more gentle than typical neck massagers, even if they are electric. Most neck massagers which are often marketed to the elderly are dangerous for seniors.
This is because the massager sends strong, high-frequency shocks down the neck, which can potentially rupture or dislocate nearby muscles and potentially give you a heart attack. Tens neck massagers are based on an odd system of pressure that causes tension on the neck muscles but doesn't actually force the neck muscles apart or rupture your surrounding ligaments. Other neck massagers work by using magnets to quickly massage the area in between the neck and the shoulder, but they aren't as gentle as Tens neck massagers.
Is it Safe to Use a Neck Massager?
Essentially, any portable massager uses one or more rotary energy coils inside the device. When this device is activated, it spreads vibrations over the entire body. Such massagers are claimed to have various health benefits, as they are able to stimulate blood flow, which triggers the circulatory system, aiding in the digestion of food and rejuvenating the relieving muscle tightness. However, it is important to note that any massage machine, whether it is portable or otherwise, is not meant to be used by people with neck problems. For those suffering from severe neck or shoulder pain, it is wise to seek the advice of your GP. If you are experiencing neck pain, what should you do?
The most important things to do to avoid neck pain include taking rest and avoiding sleeping on your neck for long periods. You should also be careful with sports, especially high-intensity, as that can aggravate neck pain. In the meantime, you can try wearing an armband around your neck while you sleep, as that will prevent the vibrations from affecting your sleep. Some effective home remedies If you are suffering from neck pain that won't go away after several weeks, it may be that you are suffering from the muscles, tendons, and ligaments of the neck and shoulder being damaged. The good news is that if you exercise regularly, and use a good quality moisturizer and decent massage tools, you will likely avoid this problem, as the massage will promote blood flow to the affected area and help the muscles and tendons repair themselves.
Are Neck and Back Massagers Safe?
Well, yes and no. Neck and back massagers have been used for decades in different ways, including strengthening your back and neck muscles. Some have claimed that they can treat a wide variety of health issues, from cramps and arthritis to sciatica and neck pain, all without a prescription. These massagers can be very helpful for individuals with painful nerves. In some cases, they can be so helpful that many people find they can live with the aches and pains that come with a chronically stiff neck.
But there is also a lot of controversy about whether they are as safe and effective as they are touted to be. First, a little research on your own will reveal that a lot of people use neck and back massagers without telling their health care provider. Many necks and back massagers that claim to be safe and effective for the relief of chronic neck and back pain are nothing more than low-cost high-grade infomercial products. Because of this, they should not be used to treat anything more serious than chronic neck pain. Many of the products on the market, which claim to relieve pain, actually increase the pain, create a more severe problem and lead to long-term nerve problems or even dislocation.
Do Back and Neck Massagers Work?
Let's take a look at two popular back and neck massagers: The AromaTrac 2 ($99.95; aromatrac.com) and the American Well model ($399; awell.com). These back massagers employ two knobs: one on the bottom to apply pressure and one on top for side-to-side movements. AromaTrac 2 uses a foam roller, while the Well massager uses a portable air massager that attaches to your headboard. For comparison, take a look at how they perform when an athlete-turned-foot and hand therapist, Dr. David Wolfe, uses one. Not only does Dr. Wolfe apply pressure on his client's areas with AromaTrac 2, but he also uses the side knob for side-to-side movement to target the painful sciatic nerve.
Are Vibrating Neck Massagers Safe?
Do any vibrating neck massagers work? Yes, neck massagers work. They are made for a reason, but that reason is to treat tension headaches and other pain in the neck and upper back. These vibrating massagers are quite helpful for the symptoms of neck pain. All these neck massagers provide professional quality vibration therapy. You can make the best decision after finding out if the neck massager you are looking for is safe and effective for treating your pain and muscle spasms.
Along with the right set of stimulation therapy tools, a total workout routine is a must. This means training your upper and lower body using appropriate equipment to prevent injury. If you are really struggling with your back, you may wish to look into a vibrating neck massager. But are vibrating massagers safe to use? Is it wise to purchase one over a manual or adjustable massager?
In Conclusion. Is Naipo Best Machine For Neck and Shoulder Pain?
Yes, It is a value-for-money product that may relieve soreness, and back & neck pain it costs less than a massage session, and it will last you at least two years.
The Brookstone Shiatsu is better, though. Although they have a similar U-design, with eight rotating Shiatsu nodes, heat therapy, and 20-minute shutoff, Brookstone:
- Seems easier to adjust on various pressure points.
- The Shiatsu nodes offer a firm massage, but they aren’t as tough as Naipo’s.
- It has an auto-reverse mode for the nodes, so you won’t have to change their direction constantly.
- The arm control buttons seem easier to reach.
- The overall design seems sturdier, and the materials seem more resistant.
So, what will it be? Will you get a Naipo Neck Massager? Will you invest more in a Brookstone? Tell me in the comments below!
